Reunion BBQ – Sun 25 Sept 2022

Join us for an afternoon of Piping & Drumming, back at Knox, at the school. All former pipers, drummers, drum majors and supporters of the Pipes and Drums from Knox are welcome.

When: Sunday 25 Sept, starting 3:00pm

Where: starting at the Pipes & Drums Centre (the demountable building on the NE Corner of the oval, Knox 1).

Indicative times and program:

• 3.00     Welcome; Instrument Maintenance (if we can do a quick fix and tune up); Afternoon Tea
• 4.00     ‘Massed Band’ – a chance to play, or listen to, a few of the old tunes (Scotland the Brave, When the Battle’s O’er, etc)
• 4.45     Updates from the current master-in-charge of the the Knox Pipes & Drums – with exciting news for 2024. And news from the Old Boys Pipe Band as well.
• 5.00     Performances from the school competition pipe bands (as they prepare for the Australian Pipe Band Championships the following weekend).
• 5.30     BBQ

Wet weather? We will use the Great Hall, if it is raining.

Dress: Smart casual (a kilt is always appropriate dress – but, probably not practical for the BBQ)
